This Privacy Policy explains how Walkthru ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our website, our iOS app, and any task or project links you share with a contractor (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details. When you sign in, we receive basic identifiers from your chosen method (Apple, Google, or phone number), such as your name and email address.
• Content you capture. Videos, photos, voice notes, text, drawings, and files you record or upload to build a task list, along with the tasks and comments generated from them.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us or fill in a form, we keep your name, email, and the content of your message so we can reply.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage data. How you interact with the Service, such as features used and actions taken, to help us improve it.
• Approximate location. Our analytics provider infers an approximate location, such as your city or region, from your device's IP address. This helps us understand where the Service is used. We do not collect precise or GPS location.
• Device and log data. Device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic information needed to keep the Service running and secure.

How we use your information

• To provide the Service: turning your recordings into organized tasks, generating checklists and titles, and letting you share a task list with a contractor.
• To translate tasks, notes, and replies between your language and your contractor's.
• To respond to your questions and provide support.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Service, and to understand how it is used.
• To comply with legal obligations.

AI and translation processing

To generate tasks and translations, your captured content may be processed by automated systems and trusted service providers acting on our behalf. These providers process your content only to deliver these features and under obligations of confidentiality. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

• With people you choose. When you share a task or project link, the recipient (for example, your contractor) can see the tasks, media, and annotations you included, without downloading the app or creating an account.
• With service providers. Vendors who host, process, or support the Service (such as cloud hosting, AI processing, translation, and analytics and crash-diagnostics providers such as Amplitude and Sentry) under contracts that limit their use of your data.
• For legal reasons. When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then for the period required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated content at any time.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us at the address below. You can also delete content and your account from within the app.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection.
